Hi There. I'm Gabriella. Online, I'm known as Spokhette, a nod to the greatest Science Commander Star Trek has ever known. I'm 25. I live in Cincinnati, Ohio with my Culinary Wizard boyfriend Alex and our two curious felines, Geronimo and Khan. Yes from Star Trek. I'm quite the fan of the original series, it influences quite a few things in my life. 

 I'm a picture day Photographer. I've been blogging in one capacity or another since '08. It took me quite a while to figure out what I wanted to write about and how to go about it, but I feel like Nerdette At Large, is exactly where I wanted to be. I absolutely love sharing my passions with my readers and the world alike. I enjoy female characters that don't take any shit. A few of my idols are: Veronica Mars, Lt. Uhura, and She-Hulk. 

 Nerdette At Large is a multi-media sonnet dedicated to nerdy heartstrings everywhere. I'm very passionate about nerd culture, Video games, and Anime are my favorite ways to spend my time. I create written content, and videos for Nerdette Minute my youtube channel. N.A.L. is updated Monday, Wednesday and Friday. While I attempt to do at least one video a week for Nerdette Minute. When my camera allows...

  I consider myself a Girl Gamer. I have a PS4, PS3, *New* 3DSXL and a GBA. I am a huge nintendo fan and am currently converting my 3DS to be able to stream on twitch. Right now, I'm only able to do PS4 games, but I am working on it. Its one of  the big things on my to do list. A few of my favorites are Pokemon, Persona Q, Project X Zone 2 and Professor Layton (He was my first tattoo).

 I enjoy reading Comic Books, both Indie and the Big Two, but I am a DC fangirl. I write about them pretty often, and my favorite characters are She-Hulk, Mockingbird, Silk, Black Canary, Dick Grayson and Frankie Charles. I love going to the local comic shop on NCBD, and just seeing whats out there. 

  I also cover Local Conventions! I frequently visit C2E2, Cincinnati Comic Expo and Cincy Comicon. I'm working on Cosplaying more frequently, but I really only do it for Conventions and Special Nerd events, like Halloween and Pokemon Week. So Far, I've only Cosplayed as: Zatanna, Ash, and Eevee. I plan on doing a lot more this year! 

 Even Though Nerdette At Large and Nerdette Minute are one woman shows, I absolutely enjoy any opportunity to work with other bloggers and content creators. Occasionally I do a feature, called A Chat with: Where I interview Artists, Bloggers, Youtubers, Any content Creator, that interests me really. I love having the ability to learn how they tick, at least for a little bit.
