The timely answer to a throwback question and if I may a follow up

When I first starting blogging a really long time ago, possibly my 3rd post. * my memory archives are extensive* I wrote an entry about whether old friends have a spot in my new life. I had just started being homeschooled, and it pretty much sucked. I didn't understand it and it wasn't a good fit for me. (Fast forward four years, and I'm now a college sophomore pursuing my dream at a college with an amazing history department, and a bunch of my now closest friends.)
But I was feeling friendsick and all the friends that I made just seemed to be floating in the breeze and it was a rude awakening for me. Some of the people who I called my friends really werent very deserving of the title. I won't go into details, so lets get back to the topic at hand * I have a habit of rambling if you haven't realized it yet.
Basically the answer is this. If they are truly your friends they will stick with you through whatever imaginably crazy scenario you have playing through your life and your brain. Now, for my follow up question...How do you get rid of the ones who continue to call and text knowing damn well they forgot multiple birthdays and celebrations, the ones who are rude and call you names, So you delete their facebook profile from your friends list and their number from your phone. Only to have them text you within the hour, with a week ass apology... Howd'ya get rid of them?

Mistress Arachnide,

Movies

July 25, 2011

So my sister and I have a group of movies that we can watch all the time over and over and over again
and the top two movies of our list are Clue and Murder by death. for the past three days we have watched nothing but that haah!
I mean what more could you want? Peter Sellers, Madeline Khan and Tim Curry all in one place? I mean its like comedic heaven.

I'm getting so much closer to integrating everything into this one blog. All of my old favorite reads. All of my old readers. The whole shebang, (I really like using that word.) So now I'm going to start my complete overhaul/remodel of my blog. There are lots things that I want to start incorporating in my blog, haha my new home.
I think I'm finally getting back into the groove of blogging! (Secret time) The thing about me...Is I love to talk. About anything, but I'm most eloquent about talking about myself. Most people think is because I'm full of myself or that I'm egotistical. That's not it at all! I promise. Its really just because I like getting to know people, and I think people are more open to becoming your friend if they know a little something about you. I mean life is basically carried out on the internet anyway. So I think introducing myself and getting to know people is important.
Meredith of one Sheepish Girl. Is one of my favorite blogs to read. She has this series on blogging for confidence, but she and I are complete and polar opposites. She's very shy and withdrawn and she wants to break free of that. Where as I love being the center of attention, I love meeting new people, and when I ride the bus I almost always bring some of my needlework with me. One of the big bonuses about Knitting and crocheting, its highly portable, you can take it with you anywhere. My point is, I've been trying to fit a mold that a lot of Popular bloggers have and I haven't been staying true to myself and why I started blogging in the first place. And the buck stops here! *gotta love Geico* Now for a little picture spam before I go...

Lucky Bunnies and Rain ( Spoilers)

July 24, 2011

Today is my sisters birthday. We did the whole shebang. I made her breakfast, took her out to KI ( Got rained out) then took her to see Transformers 3, in 3D. It was epic!! I now know that I can always trust Grant's opinion when he tells me that a movie is amazing...Because it certainly lived up to the hype.. Now, I dunno if you guys know this, but I am a huge Star Trek fan ( my boyfriend lovingly teases me about it) and the only real reason I wanted to see the movie was because the original Spokh
Leonard Nimoy
was supposed to be in it. But I didn't see him as a human character...So I assume he played Centinal Prime ( Even older than Optimus) *Claire would so kill me right now* There were quite a few twist and turns in the film that I did not expect. But Patrick Dempsey's Death should have been much worse... He should have been tossed off the top of a tower, or crushed by a falling building...or stepped on by a decepticon, I could go all night, but I don't have the energy to type about it.
Even ran into an old school friend! All in All it was a good day!

See ya soon!

So...I just realized something, Fleeting popularity does NOT translate...

July 20, 2011

So, I've been running blogs since the 7th grade. It's something I think I will always be doing. For like Eternity. It's like ... a legal addiction. It's just something that I have to do. When I'm bored, I write a blog entry. When I'm sad/mad/depressed I write a blog entry. When I'm hyper, I write a spell check's worst nightmare blog entry. You have no idea how many times I've been super hyper ( Excited about an event , or going on a date, or just had one too many poptarts) and published an entry thinking its the shit, and then come back days later and realized that I've misspelled the word "the". As a girl who did nothing but spelling bees from Kindergarten to 9th grade, it frightens me.....
Anywho, No matter how many blogs I've written, or where they've been hosted...I have like no one leaving me any feedback (that I can use, we will not speak of the tumblr debacle.) Especially here on blogger. Now, I realize this is a new destination, and that I change urls like I change earrings. (Drives Ashton nuts!!! He likes to read it when I'm not around, and it pisses him off to no end to have to ask for the url...)
When I had my Tumblr... For almost a year, I decided to upload my original blogger to it... That has been one of the things I regret most about blogging. My original blog, was located at Wordpress, I'd heard so much about it and I was so excited to get to work. It was called, a sophisticated slice of conversation, and I was a brand new 7th grader and talking about the problems of a student starting a new grade. I had a few page views but nothing spectacular. I didn't back up my entries, now that I'm older and its almost 6 years later, I realize I should have created a home blog, and even when I ventured out, I should have kept copies of the entries there. Yea, I can cut and paste from places I've traveled. Like Xanga, and Tumblr. But it doesn't keep the date, it doesn't keep the symmetry of my writing. You can't see How I've molded and grown.
What I need is someone who is super duper Internet/Rss Feed savvy and to Rss my old entries from Tumblr and Xanga, and import them into blogger...Do you guys know anyone like this??!?! That would be super helpful haha. But I'm getting off topic. When I transfered to tumblr, I was so super excited!!! It's entire platform was just amazing, easy to use, easy to customize (I'm a girl, what do you want from me?) And Now that I'm not there I can see the final number of followers and page views and all that good and fun jazz!!! So for Prince Canary ( Which began as Kurokousagi-The life through Bunny Ears. The Final Follower count was 101. 1,669 Posts. Now you can see why I want to import everything!!! Now Kurokousagi was my personal blog, I talked about all my activities and went back and forth between importing everything into one spot.

So now that you've seen them and can actually go visit ( if you want) I can finally get to the point of the entry (ain't I such a stinka? *Bugs Bunny voice*) Basically, I just wanted to talk about the fact that I don't know if I have a lot of readers or not, because no one is telling me anything!! I have all my links in the side bar *except twitter* I'm thinking of including a page counter...
I've been thinking that once I import all of my followers from the previous blogs *a.k.a. ones above* will migrate here, is that just wishful thinking??
