Just visiting :3

July 6, 2011

Claire here! Now that I'm finally out of coding classes I'm free to take the time to check my messages and, create this lovely blog, and otherwise ignore the art stuff I told myself I'd do once out of class. Getting on the internet will do that to a person. XD

Anyways, I haven't been completely ignoring my artsy duties. I've finished a couple of my I'm a Kitty Cat comics (here's the latest! *cough-cough-not-advertising-really-cough*-> http://fav.me/d3k2b9d) with another one in the works, have been a busy laundry ninja, and have spent time with my lovely fluff-stuffs (aka the kitty-cats) who did not get enough attention while I was at school.

And scarves- I've been knitting quite a few scarves. One of these days I'll learn to knit something other than scarves and hats... maybe... if I have to... XD

Anyway, I must be off. Live long and prosper, readers.
=^w^=

Jade goes bowling

July 2, 2011

Tomorrow, my family and I start on our Journey to NEW YORK! I am so very very excited and I am very very alert. I'm so happy we are leaving mega early, because there is no way that I would be able to go to sleep tonight. Because My two besties, Dazzle and Frenchie are freaking awesome! They kidnapped me last night and we went out to eat and then bowling, because its our two favorite things to do. Having that much fun in 3 hours should NOT be legal. This was my first experience of Chinese Food. I was super cautious about what to try because I didn't want to blow up like a hot air balloon. I'm allergic to all kinds of nuts. Tree nuts, Regular nuts, Coconuts and Peanut butter. I've always been told that most Chinese Dishes have some type of nuts in them. I was very surprised though, because I was able to eat most of the food.  I tried: Shrimp in butter (It was amazing), Sweet n Sour Chicken ( No sauce, I didn't care for it), Salmon ( My mouth salivated while I waited for them to put more in the buffet), Petite Jello Fours ( Citrus and Strawberry deliciouso!), Shrimp wrapped in bacon ( I ate a LOT of Shrimp), Fried Chicken ( Why can't the mount cook food like this?!?!), They had all kinds of delicious looking seafood, but a lot of it was uncooked... I was very sad.
Towards the end of stuffing ourselves silly, our lovely waitress left us three fortune cookies. Dazzle told us newbs about adding in bed to the end of them. So we then continued to do each one with in  bed at the end. Hilarity Ensued. I was so happy I brought along my camera so you guys could see it too!

We then went bowling and adorable Frenchie lacks So much rhythm.  Please enjoy us trying to teach her the stanky leg and us showing off our victory dances.

and I won by the way.

Handheld Mistress #1: When you're stuck between layton and a hardplace

June 30, 2011

So Lovely readers. I did hint that I would be doing a strategy guide for a few of the games I'd gotten off of ebay right? Well, I have just about fallen in love with the Professor Layton series. I have The Curious Village and The Diabolical Box. I found out that the box came second. So I started on the Curious Village. I am one of those people that LOVE puzzles. But that does NOT mean that puzzles love me. Hahah.
Although, I think I'm doing pretty well with the puzzles in the game so far.  I was just let into the clocktower. I am 6 hrs an 42 minutes into the game. and I have solved 23/31 puzzles. There are just those few that I couldn't solve and decided to go around. So, if any one has any questions about the first 23 puzzles, I can help and then I shall Document from puzzle 24 and on ward!
!!Spoiler Alert!!

We (Professor Layton, Luke and I) are on the search for the Rheinhold's missing Servant Ramon... He may have something to do with Simon's Death. On our search, We are allowed into the Clock tower. You will encounter a little girl and A cat playing keep away with a mouse. Both have puzzles. ( Neither of which I could solve at the time so I skipped and kept moving)  As you continue in you will come across two people. An elderly woman that you've seen before and a Man with a handlebar mustache,He is called Zarpone.  The elderly woman has a line puzzle awaiting you. She wants you to circle the one that can NOT be drawn with only one line. Passing the two of them, you will run into a man that has horrible eyesight and is always losing something, He has a puzzle about a straight rope and coins ( If you feel like you have ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD) then by all means attempt his puzzle.
I on the other hand Kindly excused myself and continued to walk, You will run into yet ANOTHER man, who will tell you about Zarpone. Moving past him, you will meet a nice man named Archabald, Who has puzzle No. 040 (How old is dad?) waiting for you. This one is worth 30 picarats, So you wanna try an get this right on the first try.
The father is as old as the son and half of his own age.  The son is 22. How old is the dad?
The way they explain it is to use a Proportion. I was never great at  math. So I did it the easy way. He said he was as old as the son. So I took the son to be half of him. 22 + 22 = 44. The father is 44 years old.

Until next time, may the logic of Layton be with you.
P.S. The Layton Puzzle strategy guide will be updated every other day.
Looking forward to seeing you guys on Saturday.

Explaining of Guest Bloggers

Pretty Sporadically ( Because their lazy) you'll see entries labeled by Claire the great, or Emily. These two lovely ladies are the other half of the Emerald Arachhnid( The Fashion line and Shop) We were originally Spinarak Designs, but due to unforseen Circumstances we've had to go a different route.  We had a blog over at tumblr. Which each of us would write in. However, since this is my personal blog. They shall be guest bloggers. I'm hoping to find more people who would be interested in writing for my blog, and just me in general. But for now I'll take what I can get.
