Merry Chrishanuzaayule!

December 26, 2011

So, I just wanted to wish all of my amazing readers and everyone else out there in the world a merry christmas, happy Hanukkah, wonderful kwanzaa, blessed yule and whatever else holiday you choose to celebrate. Christmas has been over for an hour now and I'm just now getting back to normal. For christmas I received: a red and gold hobo bag, a plethora of zombie and geek buttons, a betty boop pajama set, $20 and a brand new laptop! Which is great because my previous one is looking a little worse for wear.
You are probably thinking that is what I'm writing this on but you would be mistaken! Both my mother and sister received a tablet for Christmas. I am using my mothers right now. I like it. its large enough for you to see everything and enough room for you NOT to feel cramped unlike with my sisters, however she is smaller and younger than me, so I can only assume that version is easier for her to handle, she seems to like it well enough. She calls it Pedwo and has not parted from it yet.
To be truthful, I am a touch sad I did not receive one, but I am not one to complain, and I would feel disrespectful and out of place if I asked about it so I shall refrain. My new laptop is a touch larger than last years model, and to be truthful I am not quite sure what to do with it yet. I tried to connect to the internet but it came with windows xp, which has an awful time with certificates. So, I have spent the last two days trying to install a linux operating system in its place. My laptop currently runs Mint 10, but of course, we could not find the disc during this install.
However, it does not seem to be taking well to it, at all. We have tried multiple os including: peppermint 2, pc linux Os, mythbuntu, unbuntu 7,but nothjng seemed to work.dad says that i didnt let it charge enough, eyeroll. So that is what is what its doing right now. Gi and I spent the weekend opening presents, stuffing our faces and playing epic yarn. As a lover of all knitwear and needlecrafts I have to say that this is a game anyone can play and that you all will enjoy. Speaking of enjoying,  I have come across a really awesome knitting/sewing blog that I want to turn everyone interested in that kind of thing on to! Its called knitxcore. Written by a guy named robbie, it's funny, well written and even includes patterns from time to time, I am in love with his humor, photo taking ability and the layout of his blog! I highly recommend all of you to go read it!
since I work later today, I better get some sleep. But don't worry. As soon as my laptop is up and running ill upload all the fantastic fotos I took this weekend. I am so excited for this week. Ill be spending it with a bunch of people I love, and its the end of a wonderful/stressful year. I hope next year is just As grand! Within the next week or so I shall be posting my new years resolutions, I did a video last year, so maybe I'll do one again this year, guess well just have to see.

Yarn Addicts Anonymous. The night previous I went to Meijer to finish my christmas Shopping and wound up picking up some extra balls of yarn that practically jumped off the shelf at me. * Literally SnM was trying to toss them at cart missed and got me instead.* So here's What I got...I am already itching to start using them, but first my list of custom orders must come first. So for now I shall just drool.

You are welcome to drool with me :D

Christmas Time in the city.

Snow hasn't grabbed us yet but you know what has? The Christmas Spirit! I am very excited that there are only 9 days left until Christmas. So, last night I finished the last of my christmas shopping. I was so excited. This is my first christmas that I have actually gotten presents for other people. I cannot wait for people to start opening them!! I just asked my Auntie J, if we could move christmas up like 3-4 days...But of course not.
When it comes to holiday spirit, I am nothing but a huge kid. I love everything about getting ready for a holiday. Setting up decorations, setting up the tree. It's just so MUCH fun! Unfortunaltely I couldn't get my Auntie J, to budge, but to no avail. So I guess I'll just work those days, and show you guys the awesome pictures I took.

Here's wishing that Christmas Arrives sooner!

Handheld Mistress #2: Popped your slug and wrote about it.

December 15, 2011

I know. I know. Every time I write one of these things I start with I know its been a long time, but this time it has been really long!! The last time I wrote anything game related was in AUGUST 16th!!So I really have some updating to do.  Within this time, I have accumulated 3 games. Professor Layton and the Unwound Future: Birthday Present from Claire.  Today, I stopped by Gamestop after Going to breakfast and movies. We went to go see In time. It was amazing!!! I loved the premise of the movie and it was amazing!! I really like the movie, I definitely plan on getting it on DVD, along with X-men: First Class.
-Luke seems to be super adorable in this version. His suitcase has a teddy bear for Goodness sake.
-Who doesn't like a game about time travel?

I was going to buy three games. Puyo Pop Fever, Metal Slug 7 and Catherine! I even got a discount, but the gamestop didn't get an actual copy. Just the case. A COMPLETE LETDOWN. And I didn't have time to go to another store and pick it up. So I was super pissed. I wound up just grabbing the first two games. I was very exstatic to actually find a Puyo Puyo game in the states!! I used to play 1 ,2 and Fever on my emulator, I am so geeked.

-I am totally biased, I used to play Puyo Puyo 1 + 2 until I couldn't see straight.
-Very excited to have a portable version, instead of my emulator on my laptop.
-Super Adorable. The music and graphics just makes me feel like a 16 year tokyo lite, that plays her Ds on the way home from school, with like phone charms hanging from it haha.

I also purchased Metal Slug 7. I was also excited to find an old favorite in a new case.

Needles of a feather stick together an whatnot?

December 14, 2011

I know I haven't really posted anything shop/hobby wise in  while. So I thought I would start today, seeing as I'm scheduled to show work in progresses. Usually, these posts are few and far in between. But today I have kind of a two parter for you! I can show you a yarn haul! AND a finished product! I love it when a plan comes together.
I have finally finished Dee's Scarf turned Cowl. It's Very adorable. And I made a pattern for it, So I can make it over and over and over again! Anyone want a custom cowl, all you have to do is email me.

Yarn Haul: Greyblu, Purple, Grey and White, Red, Black w/glitter

Black with Glitter: Denise Legwarmers

Grey Blu: On sale

White with grey stripes: Simone, Traci, Shawn Scarves

Red: Daimar, Shawn Scarves

 Dark Purple: S n M's Scarf

So that's whats been going on hobby/shop wise. I still have quite a few commissions to complete. But I want to get them done before I start making anything new for the shop. I don't want anything getting lost in the scramble!! I promise to get these projects done before 2012, because I want to be completely and utterly organized. I am ready to take my business in a completely different direction and I want to be prepared for the new move.
