Welcome to September!

 I just can't believe that August is gone. Ha Of course I'm johnny come lately.  It's already the 11th, and I'm just now getting on the ball with getting this blog into shape. Molding it into What I want it to look like... When I first switched over to Linux, one of the big things I would be missing was Microsoft paint.. Yeah I know serious graphic designers are shuddering all over the world. I'm not a graphic design major. Nor did I attend ANY photography classes. This is as good as it gets. I was worried when I switched over, I wouldn't be able to do anything other than surfing the internet.
 But I feel like I am able to grasp a touch beyond the basics of GIMP. Which is the graphic manipulation program that came with my linux mint v.10 operation system.and I adore it! I make all of my photos,  banners, and ads using this program and its great!! So, if you are looking for something new try them!
 So here's my to do list and my new banner!

• Create my own blog buttons for people to grab and use on their blogs. 
• Finalize the designs for business cards Black + White, and Color.
• Create a Blogroll.
• Start D.I.Y. Tutorials
• Catch up on 6 tutorials
• New items for the shop
• More Outfit posts
• Take more pictures
• Offer Free ad Space
• More Pinback buttons
• Create a sale soon
• Picture tour of my craft storage.
• Introduce Glimpse and Glimmers
• Have a yard Sale.

Me and The Whore of Canopis

Today, I was finally able to go to the Cleopatra exhibit! It was actually leaving my city tomorrow, and I've wanted to see it since forever! Trying to drag my boyfriend to it for Ages, but he's always busy! Unfortunately, I couldn't take photos in there...I was soo sad, Just the things they found was amazing!!! Even as a history major, I learned some new things. So I was able to get some pictures! Not of the exhibit, but the entrance, and a few outside designs. Here are some pictures I took.

 As We entered the musuem, I waited for my mother to purchase the tickets 4 for $92! I saw this!

Unfortunately, two days ago this exhibit left our humble museum. This is the 2nd fashion exhibit in my city I have MISSED! What have I got to do! To make sure, that I actually make it to one of them!!!  I am currently working on my welcome to September to do list...

I'm at the end of my rope.

 Usually I am a very patient person. I have a calm aura about me that I am extremely proud of. Sure it took almost all of my 20 years on this earth to cultivate but Still I got there in the end. However, today I believe I may have reached the end of the rope I designated for School Stress. Confusion with the fafsa has already pushed me back to where I can't even start this semester. Like I said I have patience.  I was finally coming to terms about the measly four months I have to wait for school. But My School goes by semesters. A fall, Winter and Summer term. If I had started on time this semester I would be a sophomore. Since I've been there, Every semester our fafsa has been sent into verification..

I HATE VERIFICATION

 There I said It. I cannot stand Verification. Because it's basically filling out the same information you did when you filled out your taxes, and then the same information you put on your fafsa. ONLY TO PUT IT ON ANOTHER ^%&%&W(@W)#!*(*@WRP(WUTR  SHEET OF PAPER, that the government will PROBABLY LOSE! AGAIN. I just don't understand how you are a government facility, and you lose paperwork. It's Paperwork, that's your  FREAKING job.  We put pertinent, important and PRIVATE information on those forms, how dare you put our lives, and identities at risk? You don't see any "government officials" losing their information in one their "databases". It just pisses me off to high heaven.

Going to Play house of the dead to get rid of some of this energy.

New idea! Music runs through my veins: Recent

 Blogs are all about getting to know the writer. Right? I adore music, and listen to it every chance I get.    So, I thought that I would upload a playlist for you! Fun right? I listen to music so often that I have more playlist then events to listen to them.. When you finally get your self together, and you realize you need a new yarn

  This place is collecting some serious dust! haha. I was kinda weening myself off because I assumed I'd be starting school soon, and would need to put everything on hold and focus on that. However, Since now, it's looking like I won't even be able to get my foot in the door for another 4 months I figure I can split my attention between a few things. Most people would be like JEEZ, 4 months? Thats a super long time. And there right it is a long time. However, I've been waiting to go back to school since December. That's half a year. 6 months! Whats another 4?
   So I plan on spending my 4 month reprieve doing the following. I really wanna work on expanding my brand. I know there are only 4 things in the shop at the moment. When I opened it, and started to fill it with things. I thought I would do something different. The only things in the shop are complete re-designs/new creations. I didn't want to just resort to my old ways. That included my photography, my branding, and how I promoted myself.
  I do have to admit it was a lot easier the year before last because I could hang posters around school (Dean if you are reading this, I NEVER did that.) and was able to get a few orders for custom scarves and hats for boyfriends, or hatcentric best friends. But I wasn't able to promote in the way I wanted. This year will be different. When I start school it will be 2012, and I will be ready for it. I have already re-designed my logo. I'm currently working on creating a design for my business cards, one that I like. The original Business Cards:

 I'm thinking of having raised ink on my business cards now. The design on her face will be raised in pink. I'm really thinking this will be cute.  I decided to put the shop on vacation until my "shelves" are bursting with brand new designs! I'm thinking of deciding of creating a layout for Work in progresses. 

So these are my work in progresses for this week. The one to left is a wristlet, I will be adding a cute design to the front and a band for easy carrying.  The middle is Kristin's Birthday Scarf. I'm nearly Halfways done with it. and on the Right is the Heart Flutters scarflette. I need to add a button to complete the finished product.

So Be prepared for more layouts!!! Next week. There will be a lot of changes in the next coming week with the blog, the twitter and the facebook pages...
