Happy mother's day

May 13, 2012

Even though its not quite over yet, my father, sister and I took it upon ourselves, to cook and bake. My dad made breakfast: Eggs, waffles, bacon, Sausage and hashbrowns. I would have taken a picture, but there isn't any left. :( Then My sister made mini cakes. and I made two batches of cookies. This is the cookbook I got my mother.

Handheld Mistress #7: Cheating: Sneak peek #2

Apparently I am a trend setter at my house. My entrance into my own gaming, started on that fateful day, my mother let me venture off into gamestop while she was in Micheals across the street. They had this pearly pink D.S. Lite for $80. I know as soon as I bought it, I was going to be stuck like this forever, and it was so true. Now, I have a D.S.I. which I bought myself and am still waiting on gamestop to get a copy of Catherine in so I can play it. My whole point its, this started my gaming blog, this started the ability for me to buy games for myself by myself, but every now and again, it is nice for others to do the same.
About a month ago, My dad got his own game stop member card!!!  He bought Soul caliber 5 for my sister, and the sneak peek below. I can't wait to play it!!! It's only my favorite game title of ALL TIME.

I can NOT wait to play it, I have a feeling my father is waiting on grades to give it to me, so I'll make sure to put it back properly after this entry. Don't forget to check me out on Gameinformer.

Handheld Mistress #6: Professor Layton loves Golden Apple Pie.

So I know I haven't written in a while. That's what happens when you are a college sophomore. You lose track of all sense of time and direction. Now School is out, and it almost feels like a dream. Like its just a glorified weekend and school will be back on Monday. Except that it won't, School is over for the entire SUMMER! Granted, I'll probably be working my fingers to the bone, finishing things that fell to the wayside during the school year, and as a waitress at my job, but I plan on having some fun too. I might even take a lincesure class this summer.

Usually, I only write for this segment when I have a reason, and this time I've got two!!! Reason number one, I have finally solved...Professor Layton and the Curious Village!!! Lock Stock and barrel. I was so excited, and I hate it when this happens. When you get done with something and are so excited that you're dying to tell someone, and you look at your phone to text/call someone and its like 4 or 5 in the morning...Same thing happened when I finished Scott Pilgrim V.S. The World for Playstation...It was sadness until I fell asleep on the couch.  Here are some really cool pictures from my triumph!

Reason #2 Yesterday, My New Dsi arrived in the mail!!

Isn't she so CUTE?!?!

That's it for now, but since it's summer expect more frequent updates. I see games Galore in my immanent future.

Blogging Buddies #2 : Interviewing Miss Misfit

This blogging buddies activity was really fun, and I'm really thankful for modernbuttercup for coming up with it! Miss Misfit is pretty much the coolest chick on the PLANET! Our task today, was to interview our partners and post an entry about it, So here I go!

VSS: Why did you decided to become a librarian? What is the appeal for you?

ML: Becoming a librarian was kind of an accident. I started working at my local library when I was 19-years-old because I needed a job and I kinda just got sucked in. That's what librarians do, lure you in once you've walked through the door.

Honestly, I do different things everyday (Story times, arts and crafts, collection development, etc) and I love that.

VSS: Are you a gamer? What are a few of your favorite games?

ML: I'm not a hardcore gamer, but I do love me some video games.

I love all of the Just Dance games, You Don't Know Jack, just about anything Mario (World, Kart, Party, etc.), Little Big Planet, Super Smash Bros and trivia based games.

VSS: What is your favorite Genre to read?

ML: I like Chick Lit and Chuck Palahniuk novels.

VSS: What is the craziest thing you've seen people do in a library?

ML:I've seen people passed out drunk, caught people having sex, etc. Lots of weird stuff happens in public libraries.

VSS: What is the weirdest book title you've ever come across?

ML: I can't think of one off the top of my head but romance novels have some pretty ridiculous titles.

VSS: Who is your favorite actor/Actress?

ML: I don't really have one. I don't really pay attention that the actual actors.

VSS: If you could be any book character, who would you choose and why?

ML: Maybe Alice from Alice in Wonderland because I'd love to see and deal with some of that craziness.
