Hiatus

August 30, 2012

Sorry for the lack of posts lately readers. Home life has been crazy rough. My work schedule is insane, moving into my apartment is starting to become more hassle than its worth, and to put a cherry on this dismal cake, my grandmother is in the hospital, and she's not getting anybetter. If I haven't been at work, I've been at the hospital with her, and it has taken up all my time, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I want to be able to enjoy my grandmother for as long as she's here, and if that means no blog, well then it is what it is.

As soon, as I have some good news, I will post it here, and check Vulcan sugar and Spice for more recent updates, I have a whole slew of post ideas and D.I.Y.s when I get back.

Thanks for reading,

Catching up.

August 26, 2012

I've been so busy this week, what with moving into my new place and my insane work schedule, I haven't really gotten a chance to keep up with my blogging schedule. But I just back from work and wanted to let you guys know a few cool things.

- I just reached over 10,000 views! Thank you guys sooo Much!!

- I am so excited for Elementary. A new Sherlock Holmes Reboot in which Watson is a woman. Granted, I'm totally still waiting on them both being female. But Hey A female Watson is a step in the right direction.

- Just Started Season 3 of Doctor Who. I like Donna. She's funny, feisty, kind of reminds me of my mom. I can totally admit that I cried a bit at the loss of Rose. Why couldn't the doctor just tell her that he loved her? Why is that always such a big deal for guys? Why can't they just say how they feel.

Until next Time,

10 Things NOT to do: When moving to a new place

So yesterday, I tried to move into my apartment and it didn't quite go according to plan. I had two friends from work and my family that helped me move a few of my things into the apartment. The only things we got moved in was my coffee Table, My couch cushions, my microwave, and my closet. We arrived only to find out that my apartment has no power, no gas and electric. It wouldn't be on until next Monday. Then the car we used didn't fit my coffee table, so I had to sit in the passenger seat on my knees and use the upper half of my body strength to keep the door from flying open during the drive. One of the more crazier things I've done. Oh and here's the kicker, My cell phone has absolutely no reception in my apartment, near the window at best I have a bar and a half, gotta love T-mobile. So now I have to get a house phone. Which won't be until Next Tuesday. So without further a do here are ten things NOT to do:

1. Do NOT wait til the last minute to pack.

2. Do Plan the best route from your old house to your new house.

3. Do make sure that everyone has enough of a decent sense of direction to NOT get lost on the way.

4. If you do get lost COMMUNICATION is key!! Make sure everyone's cell phones have each others numbers and that phones are charged.

5. DO check your apartment for your phone reception, my cell phone doesn't work at all and now I need a house phone.

6. Do pack things like books and dvds in many boxes, makes it easier to hold and carry.

7. LABEL EVERYTHING, the last thing you want is something getting lost in the shuffle.

8. Do make sure that whatever you do have to pay for is switched over in your name BEFORE you move in.

9. Do Make a copy of your keys, either for yourself or people you trust, your parents, or grandparents, your younger sister.

10. Do give some type or reward or payment to your helpers. I plan on having a pizza party. Just make sure they feel the grattitude, because believe me there is nothing worse then trying to move by yourself.

So just keep these few things in mind, when choosing a new place. Enjoy your new place, you've worked hard and you've earned it.

OOTD: A walk in the park

August 16, 2012

Every time My sister volunteers at the library, she wants to take pictures at the monument next door. I only agree because it means that I can get my outfit photo taken for this segment and not have to bribe her later. It was a really hot day, and the sun was just not being nice to us.

10 Things NOT to do: When taking a drivers test.

August 15, 2012

One thing a lot of people say about me, is that I'm very good at dispersing advice. The only reason they think this is because I have a lot of experience failing at things. There fore, I decided to share!! So here is a new theme that I've had bouncing around my head for a while and am now just putting it into Motion.

I took my drivers test today, and failed. So here are my top 10 things NOT to do when taking it.

1. Do NOT get a new car the day of the test.

2. Do NOT roll through. Stop at Every stop sign, count to 3 then go.

3. Do NOT Put-put. Be confident in your driving.

4. Do NOT answer your phone. Your phone should be off the entire time.

5. Do NOT drive in a car that is not functioning properly.

6. DO wear Comfortable Clothes.

7. DO listen to every instruction and ask questions when necessary.

8. DO drive in a car you're comfortable in.

9. DO do your hair so your Picture looks nice.

10. Do NOT wear your hair in your face.

Just keep these tips in mind and you'll be fine. Just take a deep breath and relax. Because you've been practicing all this time, no need to lose your cool now.
