Music: Latest Knitting playlist

 Ok, so I don't want to point any fingers or put anyone in a "box", But there is a huge disconnect when I tell someone that I listen to rap and knit.. (honestly, I think its because people asssociate knitting with elderly people) Sad but true. As a friend once unceremoniously told me over a text message.

Me: Don't laugh! Knitting is relaxing, and its a modern craft!
Friend: Yeah, totally! (sarcasm) It was modern when Moses Ran track.

I had to admit I laughed but that's what people think about knitting, Kinda sad I know.  My point is, it is very normal to listen to an array of music when you knit, knitting is so calming that you can listen to practically anything, and everyone has a different interest in music. Take Meredith for example, Her kntting playlist consists of Nat King Cole, Fred Astaire, Frank Sinatra and Blossom Dearie.  These particular link/videos are songs I like from these particular artists.  I like listening to them, as much as the next person, But I can't listen to them while I'm knitting. See, When I knit, I am so calm and collected that if I'm not careful I'll fall asleep.  Which is why I need music of a different nature. So without further a do, here is my playlist.

A change of scenery #1

I once read somewhere, that people like bloggers with an issue that they want help solving. Like its interesting to help solve other people's issues. Well I guess my blog is just about to get a little more popular then. I have some huge news to share with you guys.
 I am in the process of getting an apartment. Yep, my very own place. I've never had one before. Every place I've lived or visited, has rules. I am so very tired of rules, at the moment. I've been "tossed out" of my childhood home, and honestly, it really was just time for me to get out. I was just starting to clash with the other inhabitants, and  as much as I like to talk shit, I am definitely one to avoid confrontation when it comes to my parents and my family.
 I didn't move right away, because I went straight to college, but since that is no longer a viable option, My own place it is.  I'm torn. Half of me is excited about my new opportunity, the freedoms and complications of having my own place and my own rules. The other half of me, is scared, and sad and nervous to be leaving my family. Especially my younger sister. But it is just something that needed to be done.
  I AM super excited to be taking a tour of one of the apartments I'm interested in tomorrow!! Plus spending time with my favorite guy, tomorrow, is going to be a good day. I am all settled in, so I plan on uploading a quick little video on a halloween tutorial soon.

 Well I have a big day ahead of me fellow readers.

Countdown

 You may be wondering what I am  counting down too, Getting better. But Really I just wanted a cool title, and this leads into our music video of the moment.

Countdown by Beyonce'. I am captivated by this song. I love the song, I adore the video, it has become my ringtone. And I've been listening to it non stop since the 9th. haha. I am really digging her black and white dress is to die for, and all of her makeup looks, are great for everyday use!! I will definitely be attempting these at a later date.

 I am definitely holding a countdown until the craft show and Shawn's baby shower, So  I can get rid of this dang Blanket...Its driving me crazy.

I got a good good costume and it involves a bow. *wink*

So I know I'm supposed to have a schedule and all that good jazz. But I am sick. I HATE being sick. All I do is lay in bed, doped up with medicine and music and hope that the next day I feel better.  So I will be doing a little all around kind of thing, to tie you guys over, until I can breathe through my nose again.


 Music Video of the moment: Ashanti- Good Good. This has been my favorite video since It came out!! I'm not a big fan of Ashanti, But I really like this song, and the 50's inspired outfits and theme are too adorable to pass up. Her adorable two piece bow outfit is to die for, and I am working on drawing up a tutorial for her makeup during the present scene. Look for that soon Okie Dokie??

 

 I'm still working on Shawn's Baby Blanket. I still Have Chloe's Scarf, and I've only just chosen my halloween costume. I've decided to be Amber from Sucker punch.

 In business news, I've been to sick to get to the township center to turn in my form for the show. So I am going to try and turn it in later on today. But in the mean time, i have been working on stuff for the show...

 That's pretty much all I have to share with you guys. I promise to get back to regular scheduling once I start feeling better.

Girl's day out.

 Today I went out to breakfast and had a lovely time, and from there met my best friend Layla! and we had ourselves a little us time. We were tired, of the stresses and the boys, and decide to let it roll of our shoulders. 

 Our first stop was Spirit: the halloween store. I picked up a military hat for my costume...It's a secret what I'm going to be, so you guys won't know until I unveil it on the 28th! Here's a picture of that.

This is my look for the day: I used both Jumbo pencil's from Sephora.

Then We went to Ulta. It was my first time going there, I was so extremely excited, I was like a little kid in the candy store! I now know why my dad loves going to Meijers, it's like a Meijer's of MAKEUP! It's amazing! I also Signed up for their rewards card!

W.I.P.W. secret

 Welcome! I have huge news to share!! I am going to be participating in a craft show in november!! I still have 2 projects to finish before I can seriously get to work, But I just got so excited and inspired I could help but show you guys a few sneek peaks.

 I am working on some top secret new accessories for the craft show. If you guys have not been on my facebook page in a while you may not know. I have been accepted as an official vendor at Colerain Township's Artisan Crafts Fair! I am very excited/nervous. It is my first craft fair, and I want it to be as close to perfect as I could get. So I asked around Twitter...And Got a response from the crochet queen Twinkiechan herself!! I nearly fainted..I probably would have had  not been so interested in what she wrote me.
 She gave me loads of great tips, So I have a feeling It will go well. I also found a blog called the nerdy nook. She's so adorable! and such a great inspiration. When I first started crocheting, all I could do was squares and totally uneven shapes. So My time was spent making uneven purses, and hair accessories... I feel like I should get back to my routes now, that I can make an even square. And that's what I plan to do with these new accessories!  I'll start adding them to the shop soon, be sure to look out for that shop link.
