Handheld Mistress #1: When you're stuck between layton and a hardplace

June 30, 2011

So Lovely readers. I did hint that I would be doing a strategy guide for a few of the games I'd gotten off of ebay right? Well, I have just about fallen in love with the Professor Layton series. I have The Curious Village and The Diabolical Box. I found out that the box came second. So I started on the Curious Village. I am one of those people that LOVE puzzles. But that does NOT mean that puzzles love me. Hahah.
Although, I think I'm doing pretty well with the puzzles in the game so far.  I was just let into the clocktower. I am 6 hrs an 42 minutes into the game. and I have solved 23/31 puzzles. There are just those few that I couldn't solve and decided to go around. So, if any one has any questions about the first 23 puzzles, I can help and then I shall Document from puzzle 24 and on ward!
!!Spoiler Alert!!

We (Professor Layton, Luke and I) are on the search for the Rheinhold's missing Servant Ramon... He may have something to do with Simon's Death. On our search, We are allowed into the Clock tower. You will encounter a little girl and A cat playing keep away with a mouse. Both have puzzles. ( Neither of which I could solve at the time so I skipped and kept moving)  As you continue in you will come across two people. An elderly woman that you've seen before and a Man with a handlebar mustache,He is called Zarpone.  The elderly woman has a line puzzle awaiting you. She wants you to circle the one that can NOT be drawn with only one line. Passing the two of them, you will run into a man that has horrible eyesight and is always losing something, He has a puzzle about a straight rope and coins ( If you feel like you have ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD) then by all means attempt his puzzle.
I on the other hand Kindly excused myself and continued to walk, You will run into yet ANOTHER man, who will tell you about Zarpone. Moving past him, you will meet a nice man named Archabald, Who has puzzle No. 040 (How old is dad?) waiting for you. This one is worth 30 picarats, So you wanna try an get this right on the first try.
The father is as old as the son and half of his own age.  The son is 22. How old is the dad?
The way they explain it is to use a Proportion. I was never great at  math. So I did it the easy way. He said he was as old as the son. So I took the son to be half of him. 22 + 22 = 44. The father is 44 years old.

Until next time, may the logic of Layton be with you.
P.S. The Layton Puzzle strategy guide will be updated every other day.
Looking forward to seeing you guys on Saturday.

Explaining of Guest Bloggers

Pretty Sporadically ( Because their lazy) you'll see entries labeled by Claire the great, or Emily. These two lovely ladies are the other half of the Emerald Arachhnid( The Fashion line and Shop) We were originally Spinarak Designs, but due to unforseen Circumstances we've had to go a different route.  We had a blog over at tumblr. Which each of us would write in. However, since this is my personal blog. They shall be guest bloggers. I'm hoping to find more people who would be interested in writing for my blog, and just me in general. But for now I'll take what I can get.

The Emerald Arachnid,

Proper Introduction/Pre- New York

Gabriella Here. You probably don't know me, but if you continue to read and visit, I'll let you in.  I'm a college sophomore. I can NOT wait until School starts up again. I miss having my own room. I miss seeing all of my friends and all of my classes. I'm really gong to be focusing on school this semester. I don't plan on participating in anything other than N.E.K.O. I plan on going for the secretary position! Wish me luck will ya?

I'm a history major, with a mother-approved business minor. Lately I've been really into Fashion and makeup, But I don't plan on changing my academic plan.  I enjoy a large amount of things like playing the flute and violin. Crochet, kniting and sewing. Playing video games, cooking, and the way I've run blogs before was to have a particular blog for each subject. But lets be real. I'm fucking lazy ( I cuss a lot I'm trying to refrain, but I like a little uncensorship every now and again.)

So I'm hoping this blog will have enough space to encompass everything  I need/feel/want to write about. So here's to hoping you enjoy reading, Because I certainly enjoy writing it.

The Emerald Arachnid,

So I decided to create this segment called NYF: or not yet finished and give you lucky readers a peep of what I'm working on. Right now, I am working on a completely purled armwarmer!! My fantastical hair journey: Coming Soon

June 6, 2011

So I know this is my personal style blog but I'm adding a segment where I talk about my hair. If you haven't seen it here are a few pictures of my hair.

As you can see from both pictures, It can lay flat when it wants but it is short and always curled into a bob. I want to grow my hair out. To look like this preferreably.

So this is how I will be spending my summer. Growing out my hair and bringing it back from the dead. My aunt is a cosmotologist and will be helping me on this gargantuan task.  So Every week I will go to her for a consultation and then She will take care of my hair and show me how to do it. What products and things of that nature, Which I will then take pictures of and upload  to here. So you guys can hop on my bandwagon if you wish.

Looking forward to this adventure,

FOTD: Paris

It was amazing and Now I'm putting up this super quick post before heading into work for a 7 hour shift. This is my light pink work look. It really worked out quite well. I will have a video for it when I come back from work.

적절한 소개 (Proper Introduction)

Since this is the official blog for a small business,I guess it deserves a proper introduction right? I d Gabriella. The first a is pronounced like gasket NOT Game! That drives me crazy!! Any Who. I've been crocheting for as long as I can remember. I'm impatient and rash, and slightly off kilter, but then again what artist isn't?? I am a history major. I plan on narrowing my focus into linguistics. Which is why you will see different languages as my entry titles.  The title of the shop means Rebel Yarn in Latin. The sections Azucar: Sugar in Spanish. Aigre: Sour in French.
My shop features clothing and accessories create through needlework. Either sewing, Crocheting or Knitting/ a mixture of all three. My line: Rebellare Tinctum is split into two sections.  Azucar and Aigre. Sweet and Sour. So, as you can imagine. Each section is completely different from each other, and will have pieces that you can mix and match.
I am inspired by everything about me, but there are a few alive people that I look up to! Like Carmen: Visit her amazing shop and blog at: http://www.elegyclothing.com
Kirsten: Visit her shop and blog at: http://kirstenrenz.blogspot.com
If you would like to find out more about me you can visit me Here:
