Learn About Me: My Top 10 Bands

August 31, 2012

Hello again Readers. It's that time again to learn all about me. I've noticed something recently that I've been having trouble coming up with things to write about for VSS and I think its because I'm trying to fit this amazing mold put together by the amazing blogs I read.  One Sheepish Girl, Love Elycia, Little Chief Honeybee, Keiko Lynn. But I can't, I'm totally putting the horse before the cart. So I've decided that I will just write whatever feels good to me, and if people like it then GREAT, and if not well, then, I guess they decided to find someone cooler to read I guess.

 So without further ado.

1. Epik High (2003)
Their new album comes out next month. I'm soo excited!

2.  Rooney (1999) Robert is HOOOOOT!

Shakin' .

3. Paramore ( 2004)
I liked their old stuff, but since making music for twilight/Transformers, they've gotten kind of poppy.

4.) Heartsdales ( 2001- 2006)
Two awesome sisters that knew good hip hop.

Candy Pop.

5.) Breaking Benjamin (1998-2010)
Got me through some crazy rough times at high school.

So Cold.

6.) Papa Roach (1993)
I own every album on my Ipod.

Getting Away with Murder.

7. No Doubt (1986)
It's Gwen Stefani, how can you go wrong?

Just A Girl.

8.) Florence and The Machine (2007)
I'm going to dance around in a little poncho.

The Drumming Song

9.) The Like (2001-2011)
Scott Pilgrim Vs The WORLD

Wishing He was dead.

10.) Weezer (1992)
Rivers Cuomo Need I say anything else?

Say it ain't so.

That's all for now.

August 30, 2012

Sorry for the lack of posts lately readers. Home life has been crazy rough. My work schedule is insane, moving into my apartment is starting to become more hassle than its worth, and to put a cherry on this dismal cake, my grandmother is in the hospital, and she's not getting anybetter. If I haven't been at work, I've been at the hospital with her, and it has taken up all my time, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I want to be able to enjoy my grandmother for as long as she's here, and if that means no blog, well then it is what it is.

As soon, as I have some good news, I will post it here, and check Vulcan sugar and Spice for more recent updates, I have a whole slew of post ideas and D.I.Y.s when I get back.

Thanks for reading,
Mistress Out,

Catching up.

August 26, 2012

I've been so busy this week, what with moving into my new place and my insane work schedule, I haven't really gotten a chance to keep up with my blogging schedule. But I just back from work and wanted to let you guys know a few cool things.

- I just reached over 10,000 views! Thank you guys sooo Much!!

- I am so excited for Elementary. A new Sherlock Holmes Reboot in which Watson is a woman. Granted, I'm totally still waiting on them both being female. But Hey A female Watson is a step in the right direction.

- Just Started Season 3 of Doctor Who. I like Donna. She's funny, feisty, kind of reminds me of my mom. I can totally admit that I cried a bit at the loss of Rose. Why couldn't the doctor just tell her that he loved her? Why is that always such a big deal for guys? Why can't they just say how they feel.

Until next Time,
Mistress Out,

10 Things NOT to do: When moving to a new place

So yesterday, I tried to move into my apartment and it didn't quite go according to plan. I had two friends from work and my family that helped me move a few of my things into the apartment. The only things we got moved in was my coffee Table, My couch cushions, my microwave, and my closet. We arrived only to find out that my apartment has no power, no gas and electric. It wouldn't be on until next Monday. Then the car we used didn't fit my coffee table, so I had to sit in the passenger seat on my knees and use the upper half of my body strength to keep the door from flying open during the drive. One of the more crazier things I've done. Oh and here's the kicker, My cell phone has absolutely no reception in my apartment, near the window at best I have a bar and a half, gotta love T-mobile. So now I have to get a house phone. Which won't be until Next Tuesday. So without further a do here are ten things NOT to do:

1. Do NOT wait til the last minute to pack.

2. Do Plan the best route from your old house to your new house.

3. Do make sure that everyone has enough of a decent sense of direction to NOT get lost on the way.

4. If you do get lost COMMUNICATION is key!! Make sure everyone's cell phones have each others numbers and that phones are charged.

5. DO check your apartment for your phone reception, my cell phone doesn't work at all and now I need a house phone.

6. Do pack things like books and dvds in many boxes, makes it easier to hold and carry.

7. LABEL EVERYTHING, the last thing you want is something getting lost in the shuffle.

8. Do make sure that whatever you do have to pay for is switched over in your name BEFORE you move in.

9. Do Make a copy of your keys, either for yourself or people you trust, your parents, or grandparents, your younger sister.

10. Do give some type or reward or payment to your helpers. I plan on having a pizza party. Just make sure they feel the grattitude, because believe me there is nothing worse then trying to move by yourself.

So just keep these few things in mind, when choosing a new place. Enjoy your new place, you've worked hard and you've earned it.

Mistress Out,

Mistress Out,

10 Things NOT to do: When taking a drivers test.

August 15, 2012

One thing a lot of people say about me, is that I'm very good at dispersing advice. The only reason they think this is because I have a lot of experience failing at things. There fore, I decided to share!! So here is a new theme that I've had bouncing around my head for a while and am now just putting it into Motion.

I took my drivers test today, and failed. So here are my top 10 things NOT to do when taking it.

1. Do NOT get a new car the day of the test.

2. Do NOT roll through. Stop at Every stop sign, count to 3 then go.

3. Do NOT Put-put. Be confident in your driving.

4. Do NOT answer your phone. Your phone should be off the entire time.

5. Do NOT drive in a car that is not functioning properly.

6. DO wear Comfortable Clothes.

7. DO listen to every instruction and ask questions when necessary.

8. DO drive in a car you're comfortable in.

9. DO do your hair so your Picture looks nice.

10. Do NOT wear your hair in your face.

Just keep these tips in mind and you'll be fine. Just take a deep breath and relax. Because you've been practicing all this time, no need to lose your cool now.

August 8, 2012

Today is kind of Bittersweet. It marks the day of getting back to my style blog roots, but it also marks the day I had to visit my grandmother in the hospital.

2. I hate when someone I love is in the hospital.
3. Did I mention I HATE HOSPITALS?

Something about them, just makes me wanna dry heave. I will salute and wave to a grave yard or a cemetery, but I can't stand being in a hospital for longer than an hour, today I was there for like 6.

Mistress Out,

The Day we decided to Be Babs Gordan and didn't wear a mask.

My little sister and I are avid fans of Batman. Of course, she is more partial to the new generation, but I'm more old school. She was volunteering today at our library, and I proceeded to call her Babs all day long. When I was her age, I volunteered at our library and went on to be lead teen activity coordinator. It was fun and I had a blast but unfortunately, the librarian that was in charge no longer works there, so my legacy has been forgotten. (enter sad face here.)

The cool thing about being at the library, other then the flood of memories. Is that their collection of Manga/Anime and Comic Books is unparalleled.

The first book I wrote a review on.

Of course, My sister is tired after like an hour and a half of shelving. That wimp, so she joins me while we wait for my mom, and we decided to go outside to this really pretty monument and take pictures!

My custom cut Amazing Spiderman Bow back shirt.

 Super adorable Sister Portraits:

I finished the night by checking out Love attack Vol. 1-6, Batman's: The long Halloween, All-star Batman and Robin Vol. 1, Catwoman, and Spiderman V.s. Black Cat. Peace out my nerdy readers.
